Why a gourmet dog bakery?
Well, we’re dog lovers, and have 3 of our own. I was already making homemade cookies for them, as well as for the dogs of our family & friends and they were always such a hit. We were also concerned about the fillers and additives that are in commercial treats. Homemade treats are so much healthier and we love our dogs and want them to be as healthy and happy as possible.

How did you come up with the name?
We wanted the name of our dog bakery to reflect all three of our dogs. Cooper and Baby Terza are Italian Greyhounds, and Maverick is a Puggle. Italian Greyhounds are nicknamed Iggy’s, but we didn’t want to leave Maverick out, so we took the “M” from his name, and it became “Miggy”

What kind of name is “Terza”?
Terza (pronounced Teart-zah) was the third dog we introduced to our family, she’s an Iggy and her name means “Third born” in Italian. Her full name is Terza Isabella.

Why are homemade dog treats better than the commercials treats from the store?
Primarily because there are no additives, preservatives, or anything you can’t pronounce. All of our ingredients are foods you’d find in your own kitchen and are “dog safe”. All of our ingredients are human grade and listed on the packages, so be sure to read them in case your dog had a known food allergy. 

How do you come up with the recipes?
I purchased some, but just use them as a guideline. I spend  a  lot of time “tweaking” recipes to be sure your dog enjoys them. All cookies are taste tested by our cookies monsters at home first, as well as several doggy friends of ours.

Should I refrigerate my cookies?
To get the longest life & freshness out of your Miggy Cookies, we do recommend that you refrigerate them. As mentioned, we don’t use additives or preservatives’, so refrigerating them is best. (My mom puts them in the fridge also because her pug, Lulu, thinks she’s getting people food that she isn’t supposed to have so she goes nuts when they come from the fridge!)

 Although we’re a new gourmet dog bakery, we’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response we’ve received from everyone and we really appreciate that. We’ve also started a “Miggy of the Month” cookie club, where you’re dog will receive a new Miggy flavor automatically each month!
